Bassam Kazi is a Partner and Notary Public at KPL Lawyers.
Bassam was employed at Marsdens Lawyers in 1995 whilst undertaking his studies at the University of Sydney.
Bassam later became employed by Smith Monti Legal in 2002 and within three years of his employment he was appointed a Director of Smith Monti Legal.
In January 2007 Bassam became a partner in the firm KPL Lawyers.
Bassam has over 18 years’ experience in Commercial Litigation mainly in the areas of Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Construction Law. Bassam also has experience in Local and District Court Criminal matters and regularly appears in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Family Court of Australia.
Bassam is member of the Law Society of New South Wales and is admitted to practise at all levels of the legal system including the High Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Family Court of Australia, Supreme Court of NSW, District Court of NSW and Local Court of NSW.
Bassam is a part of a number of associations. He is the founding member of the Australian Maronite Professionals Council, a secretary of the Australian Jieh Association, a member of the Society of Notaries of NSW, and a member of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
Bassam enjoys assisting clients in difficult situations and circumstances by identifying and meeting their ongoing legal needs, as well as making a difference to their lives by providing legal advice and representation.
Bassam is fluent in the Lebanese language.
